Without even being present, Ossie has this wonderful way of making him feel safe -- not 'safe' in the sense of 'we can obliterate whatever threatens us,' but safe, in the sense of 'the world is good, and we'll be okay.' It's profoundly un-Faerghan. Dimitri's never known anything so comforting.
